Hello
My name is Dr. Karen Lojeski but most people call me Dr. Kay.

As a public persona, I'm readily known for the discovery of Virtual Distance - a new science of relationships.
I've been working with all kinds of organizations for 20 years and I thought that Virtual Distance would be the last step in my work for people struggling with challenges in today's world.

But I was wrong :).

As the world changed, I changed.
I saw new opportunities to use Virtual Distance and other parts of my background to help people in general and at work.
So - now, I'm really excited to share the next evolution of "me and my work" I've called: DancingWithChaos.org.
Building on Virtual Distance and my lived experiences with thousands of people, adding in contemplative and wisdom traditions and other ways I've come to understand things, and invite you to participate this new learning environment;
A Purely Original and playful process to make life better!
Following is my very short story.

Warm Regards to All,
Dr. Kay

My St ry

Over 20 years ago, I had a hunch there were unintended consequences to relationships with the sharp rise in digital communications.

At the time, I was a successful leader on Wall Street. But my original expertise in Applied Math and Computer Science, as a systems engineer, told me there was a significant shift happening under the surface.
I suspected it was impacting people's well-being, happiness, organizational performance, and many other things more generally. Intuitively I knew that whatever it was, needed attention from someone who'd built much of the foundational technologies we use today.

So after commuting to the tip of Manhattan to work, I went to the other side of the river to attend Stevens Institute of Technology for the specific purpose of trying to figure out if my senses was right.
If so, I thought, I could build solutions and make work and life better for everyone - well that was my goal. It was quite "audacious" as the Dean used say but he strongly encouraged me to follow my hunch.
.
And that's exactly what I did!

With my dear friend and mentor, Professor Dick Reilly, my award-winning Virtual Distance predictive analytics and other lived-life solutions have been used in all corners of the globe including governments, industry, etc.

But was also appealing to many other people.
Since then, I've also worked with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, children, community centers, places of worship, the United Nations, the World Economic Forum and NGOs around the world, women's advocacy groups, teachers, students and more.

Given the still growing need, I knew it was time to fold up my experience and take it further into the wider space of the chaos in which we all live these days.
With that, Welcome . . . . to a place where everyday people as well as organizations can find better ways to live that lead to better ways to work and play.

Thanks for visiting!
